• Reduce wind loading on tiles or slates
• Provide secondary watershedding protection against wind-driven rain or snow

In addition, a selection of vapour retardant membranes help to control the amount of internal moisture passing through the building fabric, thus aiding the function of the pitched roof underlay or vertical breather membrane.
